The American Yacht Club was hosting the first weekend of its annual AYC
Spring Series. However, on a sunny day blowing 20-30 kts-plus from the West/ Northwest, and temps hovering in the high 40s/ lows 50s (water temp at 45 deg!), racing was canceled for the day.
Instead of heading home or to the bar, as most teams did, Bruno’s crew on WINGS “sent it” down the Sound; hoisting the A3 black spinnaker and pushing the boat up to 20.8 kts in a 28 kt gust! Add to Flipboard Magazine.
