Congratulations from the J/Family to
George David-- the real "rambling man"!
A former J/24 sailor from the 80s, George David, a New York YC member
now living in Hartford, CT, simply traded up over time and is now racing
RAMBLER 100, a Juan K 100 footer.  Kudos to George and team for having
set a new Transatlantic Race record of 6:22:08:02 for the course from
Newport, Rhode Island to Lizard Point, South Cornwall, a measured
distance of 2,975 miles.  That's a 15.67 knots average across the
Atlantic.  That's amazing!  It can be said with a straight face that
even J/24s can go that fast for 1/100th the price!  LOL, perhaps not for
 120+ hours!
